Composer Danny Elfman, founder of the seminal alt-rock party band Oingo-Boingo, has written and performed some of the most lyrical and haunting music in modern film and television soundtracks — including The Simpsons, Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman, Batman Returns, Beetlejuice, and Sleepy Hollow, as well as over sixty other film and televisio According to the folks over at Ain’t It Cool News, Oingo Boingo front man Danny Elfman perhaps best known for his work on Batman and The Nightmare Before Christmas with director Tim Burton has officially signed on with Universal Pictures to score “The Wolf Man”. The 80’s were a decade of overflows of colors and style. Citric colors, big glasses and those long Nike shoes. Lots of kicking butt bands like A-ha, Oingo Boingo, Erasure, Depeche Mode making kicking butt video clips, wearing kicking butt clothes and being kicking butt cool. Yeah. We love the 80’s, and know, let’s get inspired by it! ;D Being a marching band geek at heart, I am simply enthralled to have found this. This marching band plays music from various rock bands every year including Radiohead, Oingo Boingo, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and more. The video posted includes “Airbag” and “Paranoid Android”. Amazing stuff, I tell ya.
